The lab operates a dedicated cluster of compute nodes for full-wave electromagnetic simulation (FDTD, FEM) of nanophotonic structures. Simulation is used to perform mode analysis of coupled cavities — including non-Hermitian systems — and to cross-validate against optical measurements on fabricated devices.
